The Clinic will be April 9th – 9-5:45.

Harriet Hargrave will be the guest speaker for the Bitterroot Quilt Guild, February 24, 2010.  Harriet is a well-known author, teacher, quilt shop owner, and innovator of machine quilting. She is internationally recognized for her contributions to the quilt world. Harriet will be giving an all day workshop February 25th on machine applique.

-More than 220 bird species live or spend time in the Bitterroot watershed.

-The Bitterroot River flows north 85 miles from its headwaters to the Clark Fork River confluence – flooding annually and maintaining cottonwood forests that are terrific habitat for birds and other wildlife.

-The Lewis and Clark Expedition passed through here twice – in 1805 on the way to the Pacific and on the way home in 1806.

-The Bitterroot Salish lived in the Valley for many centuries until 1891 when forced to relocate to the Flathead Indian Reservation, north of Missoula.
