Tim and Linda were gracious hosts at the Big Sky B&B and made us feel right at home during our September visit. The rural home is nicely furnished and decorated with western artwork (e.g., Bev Doolittle) and exquisite quilting – done by Linda herself. The outlook from our room faced north and west providing great views of both the Bitterroot Valley and of the Bitterroot Mountains – which were in their glory at both sunrise and sunset. Our bed and room were neat, clean, and of sufficient size with a private, full, spacious bathroom and clean linens all around. A built-in bathroom heater was available to take the edge off of a cool morning or evening.
Our breakfast was delicious, healthy, and substantial; and Tim served fabulous coffee to boot. As a native Montanan I like “Bitterrooter” coffee – hotter than a $2 pistol and thick enough to float a crowbar – but Tim’s coffee was *even* better! :~)
Tim made several recommendations for our dinner in the valley that all sounded wonderful. We chose a downtown Italian restaurant that served excellent fair with large portions as well as having a good selection of wines. That evening’s special was “Hot Chick on a Roof” and it was a *superb* dish with pasta, chicken, jalapenos, and a white garlic sauce. Yum!
