BITTERROOT ACTIVIES
I can’t believe its April, and spring is still just around the corner – hopefully it will be here SOON! Some things that’s happening here in the Bitterroot are:
April 9th – The Hamilton Playhouse will be presenting Sylvia starting at 8:00pm – should be a great evening.
The Daly Mansion volunteers will be presenting the last of a series that encouraged the community to learn more about this piece of history located here in Hamilton. With monthly classes that started in January, these two will conclude the series:
April 18th – Ned and Gigi Batchelder will present “Birding at the Mansion“, learn about all the wonderful species of birds that reside on the Mansion grounds & how to attract them to your yard.
April 25th Certified Arborist Sylvia NcNeill will offer “A Walk Among The Trees.” This is a chance to learn more about all the different species of trees that’s on the Mansion’s grounds and what trees prosper in our climate.
Classes cost $5 – call Darlene Gould 363-6004 ext. 4 to reserve your spot and for more information.
April 16th- the Hamilton Performing Arts will be presenting “An Evening With Groucho Marx.” This 90 minute performance by Frank Ferrante consists of the best Groucho one-liners, anecodotes and songs. This should be a fun evening.
April 22nd – The Bitterroot Quilt Guild will be hosting Jim Carroll, which I spoke about earlier. This will be an evening to learn more about the history of quilt making.
April 30th – The Bitterroot Public Library will be showing the film “The Violin” in the downstairs Meeting Room.
Skalkaho Pass is seeing a lot of activity with sledding and cross country skiing – this is a great time for a picnic and some fresh air, so consider this your invitation to come out and enjoy the snow.
Fishers are talking about that “first hatch” which eveyone expects to happen soon – we’re all checking our supply of flies in anticipation. I will keep you posted on the fishing activies in the area.
