I just found out that Bitterroot Ridgerunners Snowmobile  Club grooms  about 20 miles of Skalkaho Pass road, twice weekly, and the Club is happy to share this groomed area with cross country skiers.

This is great, it provides an opportunity for cross country skiers to enjoy the Sapphire Mountains and the beauty of Skalkaho Pass, which is closed to traffic during the winter.
